Originating from the rural villages of Egypt, the iconic OMDA scarf, once worn exclusively by the esteemed “Omda” or village mayor, imbued them with a sense of pride and empowerment. Now, it has transitioned from a symbol of rural leadership and tradition to a practical shawl worn by common farmers.

Amina K. draws from the roots of this scarf, reviving its essence of strength and belonging.

Woven from wool, these scarves provide warmth during the harsh winter days, adorning the men in galabeyas with a sense of identity and belonging.

With this collection, we wanted to capture those everyday moments.

@carolinasaporski, an Italian living in Egypt, brought her creative vision to our collection’s shoot, capturing the essence of each piece beautifully. Just as Amina expresses this spirit through design, Carolina brings it to life through her lens.
